Michael LaBella

Michael LaBella Bio

Born and raised in Rochester, NY, Michael LaBella returns as one of Eagle Vale's new PGA Co-Directors of Golf Instruction. Before moving to back to Rochester Michael was at St. Davids Golf Club right outside Philadelphia where he was the Director of Junior Golf and was awarded the US Kids Golf Foundation Top 50 Instructor Honorable Mention Award in 2014. During the winter of 2013-14 Michael was given the opportunity to travel along the east coast, visiting some of the nation’s top golf instructors. While on his travels, he was given the privilege to learn from, critique and teach alongside Golf Digest Top Young Teacher, Top 50 USKG Instructor and GRAA Top 50 Growth of the game Teaching Professional Megan Padua and Golf Magazine Top 100 Instructor Krista Dunton, as well as other notable instructors. Through his experiences Michael developed a teaching style that couples using Trackman technology (as seen on the PGA Tour) and a kinesthetic hands-on approach. First the player and the coach must assess the current swing (Video/Trackman) and then the student must be moved into the right positions to create a lasting and repeatable swing. Through lessons, Michael takes players through five stages of learning: Understanding Cause & Effect, Skills Development & Skills Maintenance, Supervised Practice, Transfer Learning and Play!!!

“Golf experts agree that regular and consistent practice leads to improvement. At Smash Factory Golf we want to give you the tools to get better. While one lesson may lead to some short-term gain, our goals and programs with each student are designed to create a custom plan to build skill and improve technique. Learn how to utilize your practice time more effectively, have more fun practicing, and transfer your skills to the golf course.” – Michael LaBella

Rob Comerer

Rob Comerer Bio

Rob Comerer is Eagle Vale's new PGA Co-Director of Golf Instruction. His past experiences include the Baltimore Country Club, where he was the Director of Junior Golf and was awarded the US Kids Golf Foundation Top 50 Instructor Honorable Mention Award. His past experiences have given him opportunities to learn and share ideas with the best minds in golf instruction. Rob takes a coaching approach to make sure his students learn the cause and effect of the golf swing while developing and maintaining current and new skills. Since everyone is unique, he has been studying how the body works specifically for golf. The use of "bioswing mechanics" has been an invaluable resource for him and his golf instruction. Rob does not subscribe to one specific methodology of teaching. He believes in science and technology, and the use of this in varying ways to help his students’ progress towards their goals. He always strives to bring new innovative ideas and techniques to the lesson tee. Whether you’re new to golf or an accomplished player, Rob has helped golfers of all skill levels and will be able to help you reach your goals!
